Our company is currently looking for an enthusiastic Business Development Representative with excellent interpersonal skills. This position will have a direct impact on our success by providing qualifying prospects from lead status into the sales pipeline. This role will act as a layer between customers and engineers - handle all first contact with new clients and build relationships through marketing activity — events, campaigns, direct mail, email, etc. The goal is to take a lead, qualify the lead through opportunity discovery, prepare proposals, and follow through until a quote is delivered.

Duties:

  • Identifying and managing numerous prospect opportunities in the industries to build value propositions, provide support throughout the sales process, and assist in the optimization of product offerings to maximize the impact on short and long-term sales
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key decision-makers at customer organizations and be proactive to identify opportunities to engage customers in new research opportunities
  • Lead the preparation, submission, tracking, and closing of quotations and proposal
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of relevant applications and value propositions and the ability to effectively articulate these internally and to prospects and customers
  • Collect market information/data (competition, pricing, new products, technologies, trends, etc.)
  • Develop and implement strategies for key accounts, tenders, and strategic deals
  • Make sales presentations to customers

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Be knowledgeable about the products and industry
  • Understanding of the sales process and dynamics
  • Experience using the computer, familiarity with office applications including Word, Excel, etc
  • Confident, highly self-motivated, customer-oriented
  • 1-3 years of sales experience
  • All Majors are acceptable

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
